Yeşim Demir Pröhl

Yeşim Demir Pröhl was born in Istanbul, 1968. She graduated from the Graphic Design Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 1992. Between 1992 and 2002, she worked as an art director and creative director at Young and Rubicam Reklamevi, Repro and RPM Radar / CDP Europe. She won several awards in various categories at the Turkish Society of Graphic Designers (GMK) exhibitions between 1993 -2013. In 2003, she founded her design studio Demir Tasarım in Istanbul. Between 2005 and 2011, she served as the chair of the Board of GMK. She served on the board of directors of the World Design Council (ico-D, formerly ICOGRADA) in 2011-2013 and 2013-2015 terms. Demir, a lecturer in the Department of Graphic Design at MSGSÜ, served as a jury member in national and international competitions such as GMK, AWDA, EMZIN, Yahşibey Workhops, Grafist 14, Taiwan International Design Competition, gave conferences and conducted workshops at various events. She took part in the 2nd International Istanbul Design Biennial Advisory Board. Demir continues her proffessional practice in Demir Tasarım.
