Bilge Kınam Dokuzlar

Born in Izmir, in 1978. In 2000, K. Dokuzlar received her BA from Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Graphic Design at Bilkent University in 2000. She completed her MFA from Dokuz Eylul University, Institude of Fine Arts, Graphic Design in 2008. Bilge Kınam Dokuzlar received her Proficiency in Arts degree in Graphic Design in 2015 at Anadolu University.
During her master’s she worked as a designer in Santex Moden in Aachen Germany with Erasmus Tranning Programme. She volunteered for EVS Action 2 project and worked at Plas Lluest Daily Centre with mentally disabled people for 12 months in Aberystwyth, Wales. At that time, she took Land Art, Printmaking and Life drawing courses at the University of Aberystwyth. Since 2000 she has worked as a graphic designer and art director in advertising agencies and between 2006 – 2009 she worked as a part time lecturer at graphic design department, İzmir University of Economics.
Kınam’s works have been shown in national and international exhibition and she holds awards from poster exhibitions. Her field of study is graphic design, with a focus on multidisciplinary art & design works, experimental graphic design and typography, sustainable design and socially responsible design. Currently she has been working as an assistant professor in the Department of Visual Communication Design at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Art and Design.
