Berrin Yapar

She was born in 1983, in İstanbul. She completed her primary education in İstanbul. She started studying at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Traditional Turkish Arts, in 2000. She graduated from Turkish Calligraphy Department with distinction and she was granted with Sabancı Art Award. She started teaching at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Traditional Turkish Arts, Turkish Calligraphy Department as a research assistant as well as studying Mimar Sinan University Institute of Social Sciences Old Calligraphy master program. On the following years she conrinued her artistic career. She was invited to İstanbul Trade Chamber Open Air Art Center summer term activities. She received third prize in Jewelry Design Category at 4th Artistic Promotion Material Competition of Turkish Cultural Ministry. In 2007, she received her masters diploma with her thesis “Epitaphs of Turkish Artwork in Greece”. In 2009 she started studying Old Calligraphy in Proficiency of Arts (Doctorate) at Institute of Social Sciences Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. In 2015 she received her Proficiency of Arts diploma with “Calligraphy Designs with Evil Eye (Nazar) Concept”. She was attended as research assistant professor in 2017. She contributed to many national and international competitions, exhibitions and events.
